My husband and I were both raised in Prineville and still have many family members living here.  After graduating I left for the Sisters area where I worked on and off for almost 15 years at Brooks Resources’ Black Butte Ranch and the local ski area, then moved to Portland for seven years working in an office in Human Resources and Payroll, before finally returning to Central Oregon.  I found myself decorating my home in desert colors and décor and coming back to this area every weekend!

For the last ten years I’ve traveled the country working for a software company out of Bend and living in Redmond, my duties were mainly customer support, marketing and sales.  When traveling and visiting new places I always compared it against Central Oregon, I decided there is no place like home!  Full circle for me is coming back to Prineville to be a part of the Brooks Resources Realty team and IronHorse development!

My experience in customer support, sales and my extensive knowledge of the area will help you to find your perfect home or investment in our beautiful Central Oregon.

I have lived in Prineville for most of my life, moving here before I started kindergarten. I graduated from Crook County High School and shortly thereafter went to work at Western Bank.

After working there for 20 years, I decided I was ready for a new career. I was working with a real estate agent at the time looking for property when I happened to mention that I was ready to change professions.  He made it his goal to convince me that real estate is where I needed to be, so after thinking long and hard about it, I got my real estate license. I have been selling real estate now for almost 12 years and have never regretted my decision.

I raised 3 beautiful daughters here in Prineville and I now have two adorable grandsons, Benny and Zach (and one more on the way), who are the light of my life, and  who have “Gamby” wrapped around their little fingers. My daughter, Casie Allen and I have been partners in real estate for several years which has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I also have a wonderful husband, Dave, who has 5 great kids, each married to wonderful people and 12 more grandkids, all of whom I adore.

I am really happy to be a part of the Brooks Resources team. I have great compassion for people and will always strive to do the best job I can with honesty and integrity.

With over 35 years of experience in real estate sales, from working with builder/developers to owning and managing my own real estate business, I also have a strong background in financing as owner of ECM Mortgage. With years of brokering residential and commercial real estate loans, my expertise includes extensive work with investors and developers in commercial building, mobile home parks, and subdivisions coupled with selling and leasing investment properties.

Born and raised in Burns I worked on a ranch near the “Double O Ranch”. My family later moved to Eugene where I graduated from high school and attended Lane Community College earning an Electrician Journeyman’s Certificate. While attending LCC I also worked as a Lane County Sheriff’s Deputy. I later managed new car agencies and have also served as a consultant for GMC and Ford.

In 1972 I earned a realty license and began my career in this field working for a builder. In 1975 I earned my broker license and in 1979 opened McPheeters’ Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate in Eugene. I also opened ECM Mortgage Company, Inc. and sold both companies in 1995. I then became affiliated with Prudential Real Estate as a principal broker until 2006.

My wife Kathy and I “retired” to Powell Butte, and soon found ourselves looking for things to fill our time. Kathy works at St Charles as a surgical nurse and I joined the Prineville Team of Brooks Resources Realty. In our spare time we enjoy taking our horses out on trail rides and exploring more of my first home, Central Oregon.

Thinking back about being born and raised in Central Oregon brings wonderful memories. Every day brought an adventure whether it be rafting, boating, riding horses, hiking in canyons or on mountains, or spending many afternoons at the lake. I grew up attending many rodeos and barrel races. By my sophomore year in high school I had qualified to go to the National High School Rodeo Finals in Gillette Wyoming.

In 2001 I moved to Northern California, where I began my real estate career. As a licensed Realtor in California, I have experience in residential property management, commercial leasing, and residential and commercial real estate sales. After 5 years of living and working in the city, it was time to head back to my roots. This prompted a move back to Central Oregon in May 2006.

My husband and I are now settled into Culver, my hometown, and we have been enjoying the rural living. We get to indulge in the many activities we love so much, right in our back yard! We enjoy backpacking, camping, fishing, snowboarding, and wakeboarding among a list that could go on forever. I also enjoy being back where the rodeo community is very much alive!
