Why Central Oregon? Why Prineville? Why IronHorse?

Meet IronHorse Neighbors

The Borns

ironhorse-community-borns.jpgAfter nearly 17 years in Sunriver, D.C. and Rita Born are veterans of the Central Oregon lifestyle and knew they didn't want to give it up. However, they were weary of dealing with high Sunriver snowfall and the maintenance of their older two-story home. When they heard that Sun Forest Construction was building its finely crafted homes in Prineville - along with SunWest Builders and Viking Construction - they decided to take a look. With low annual snowfall and a brand-new single story home that fit their needs perfectly, IronHorse in Prineville became their new home.

They love the friendly, laid-back feeling of Prineville and enjoy the expansive vistas and beautiful sunrises from their new neighborhood. Even their six children have visited and given their "stamp of approval" on their parents' choice!

The Carrs

ironhorse-community-carrs.jpgThe Carr family's recent move to Prineville from Springfield, Oregon was like coming home - both Jason and Gwen are originally from Central Oregon. With a quick move so that Jason could begin his new position in Economic Development for Prineville-Crook County, they decided to rent while they searched for the perfect home to buy. They settled on a home built by Viking Construction in IronHorse because they loved the home's extra amenities and upgrades.

The Carrs discovered IronHorse during the 2007 "Tour of Homes" and were attracted to the beauty of the area, the spacious lot and the neighborhood's plans for a new elementary school, parks, and commercial areas. You will often find the Carrs out enjoying their new neighborhood and other area sports and activities with their two young children, Kaylee, 5, and Cameron, 2.
